last english class?

Another semester of college comes to an end, which means another semester closer to graduating. If i am correct, this will be the last English course that i have to take. Although i have never really enjoyed English course's in high school or college, i would have to say this was a more enjoyable course to end on. I would much rather write papers than to take exams on where to place the correct punctuation or identifying what each word is. (noun, pronoun....ect) Also I'm glad there was no analyzing poems or things like that. I did learn different writing styles out of the course books that will help in the future for classes. I really enjoyed that fact that we were able to express ourselves in a lot of these papers and have a little fun with them. The paper about "The Awakening" was probably the most difficult paper in my opinion, but on the other hand i learned the most from that paper. I am also glad that i had all English majors in my class to help revise my papers so that i was able to do good.

re-do

Well, this was a blog that i wrote back in the middle of the semester during the movie paper. I had discovered that for some reason it never got posted except the title so i am re-doing this blog. A while back i had watched 127 Hours with James Franco. I'm sure by now most have seen this movie, but i thought this was an interesting movie. Like "Into the Wild," this was a true story about a single person set out onto an adventure. At the end of both of these movies, it shows the actually real person who the movie was based on. During this movie, James Franco plays a young adventurist male who enjoys rock climbing and nature. He decides to go climbing though the mountains by himself only to slip and have a bolder fall on top of his arm. He is then stuck with no one around to hear his desperate cries for help. This movie takes place in Utah and shows the beauty of the scenery. While being stuck, he only has his one free arm, a backpack, and enough water to last a few days. After awhile he becomes delusional and starts to hallucinate. there seems to be some hidden feelings about his family that is played into this part. After many days, he comes to realize that he either has to separate his arm from his body, or die alone. For those who have not seen this and may want to, i wont spoil the end.
